Founder of Singapore's First Umpiring Academy, Courtside - Yu Bee Ling

Bee Ling, commonly and more affectionally known as 'Bee', is the mastermind behind Singapore's pioneering Umpiring Academy, Courtside. Bee possesses extensive umpiring experience and has held the International Umpire Award (IUA) since 2015; the highest accolade in netball officiating. In 2023, Bee reached another remarkable milestone by attaining the esteemed International Netball Umpire Award (INUA) Testing Panel (ITP) Cadet status.

Bee's umpiring journey encompassed various notable events, including the Quad Series in 2018, the Constellation Cup in 2016, the Asian Netball Championship (various countries), and Nations Cup (Singapore) since 2008. Her extensive experience in these high-profile competitions has solidified her status as one of Singapore's most seasoned umpires.

Beyond her remarkable umpiring career, Bee has actively taken on the role of imparting her profound knowledge and expertise. She has been instrumental in conducting umpire courses and actively engaging with aspiring individuals interested in umpiring.

While she currently being a full-time netball coach, umpiring remains Bee's fervent passion. By combining her extensive knowledge and unwavering commitment to coaching and umpiring, Bee is on a mission to share her wisdom and skills with budding enthusiasts. Her goal is to shape and inspire the future generation of netball players and umpires in Singapore.
